Internal commerce

In accordance with the acceleration of the growth of the national economy, and thanks to the impulse given by the state policy of extension of the internal demand, the confidence of the consumers was fortified in greater degree and the sales of merchandize in the internal market were increased of stable form. In the 2000, the global volume of the retail article sales of consumption in all the society reached 3,4153 trillions from yuanes and, taking into account the factors from prices, the real increase was of 11,4%. Of this total, 2,111 trillions of yuanes corresponded to the cities, with an increase of 10,6%; and 1,3043 trillions of yuanes, to the administrative divisions of distrital level and inferior, with an increase of 8,3%. Sight by activity branches, the commerce wholesale and retail grew in 12.1%; the one of the restoration branch raised in 17.3%; and the one of the other branches lowered in 0.3%.

The transactions in the production means market continued with the tendency towards the activation. In all the country, the global volume of means sales of production of the companies dedicated to the commerce wholesale and retail over the quotas limit was of 1,5808 trillions of yuanes, with an increase of 23,7% in relation to the previous year.

These companies improved their yield in certain way. Of January to November, their net income by the sales of merchandize were of 2,3982 trillions of yuanes, with an increase of 17,3% against the previous year; of it one wholesale included an increase of 18,5% in the commerce and another one of 11,6% in the commerce retail; and the global volume of gains reached 24.800 million of yuanes, with an increase of 120% on the same period of the preceding year; of it an increase of 130% in the commerce and another one of 25,6% in the commerce was included/understood wholesale retail. However, due to the ascent of the costs of sale of the companies, the rate of gross gains was of only 7,93%, with a reduction of 0,4 percentage points in relation to the previous year, and the gains by the main activities of the companies were increased in only 14,2%.
